Povela je Ukrajina u 27. minuti golom Oleksandra Zinčenka, a izjednačio je Emil Forsberg u 43. minuti svojim četvrtim golom na ovom prvenstvu. Iako se već činilo kako ćemo gledati izvođenje jedanaesteraca Ukrajina je zabila za 2:1. Zinčenko je sjajno ubacio, a Dovbik glavom zabio za pobjedu.
Ukrajina je u svom trećem nastupu na europskim prvenstvima prvi put prošla skupinu, a sada je otišla i korak dalje. U četvrtfinalu 3. srpnja u Rimu igrat će protiv Engleske koja je golovima Raheema Sterlinga (75) i Harryja Kanea (86) porazila Njemačku 2:0.
