Rusija je povela autogolom Michaela Boxalla (31ag), a konačni rezultat postavio je Fjodor Smolov (69).

U skupini A još se nalaze Portugal i Meksiko koji će svoj susret 1. kola igrati u nedjelju u Kazanu, dok se u skupini B nalaze Kamerun, Čile, Australija i Njemačka.
